Our Premium Driver Bundle is our most comprehensive Driver Education Program, designed for students who want the highest level of instruction, additional driving experience, priority scheduling, and maximum confidence before their road test.

The program combines 25 hours of online classroom training with 16 hours of professional one-on-one in-car instruction, providing 60% more driving experience than our standard Driver Education Course.

In addition to all the benefits of our Driver Education and Express Driver Programs, Premium students receive extra driving time, personalized coaching, priority scheduling, a FREE Road Test Vehicle, and a FREE Female Instructor (upon request), helping them become safe, confident, and independent drivers for life.

Graduates receive an official Driver Education Certificate approved by Access Nova Scotia / Registry of Motor Vehicles, allowing eligible students to exit Nova Scotia's Graduated Driver Licensing (GDL) Program sooner while also qualifying for potential insurance discounts.

Students may begin their online training before or during in-car lessons and, when possible, complete the program in approximately 5–7 days, depending on instructor availability, weather conditions, student availability, and Access Nova Scotia road test appointments.

FREE Road Test Vehicle

The Premium Driver Bundle includes the use of one of our training vehicles for your official road test at no additional cost.

Female instructor requests are subject to instructor availability. If a female instructor becomes unavailable due to unforeseen circumstances, students may choose to continue with another qualified instructor or wait for the next available female instructor.

Driver Education Certificate & GDL Benefits

Approved by Access Nova Scotia & the Registry of Motor Vehicles

Upon successful completion of our 35-Hour Driver Education Course, students receive an official Driver Education Certificate approved by Access Nova Scotia / Registry of Motor Vehicles (RMV). This certificate allows eligible students to complete Nova Scotia's Graduated Driver Licensing (GDL) program sooner while also providing additional insurance and licensing benefits.

Nova Scotia Graduated Driver Licensing (GDL)

Nova Scotia's Graduated Driver Licensing Program helps new drivers gain experience before receiving a full Class 5 Driver's Licence.

Learner's Licence

Before beginning in-car training, students must first obtain a Learner's Licence by successfully completing the written knowledge test and vision test at Access Nova Scotia.

Newly Licensed Driver (N)

After successfully passing your road test, you will enter the Newly Licensed Driver (N) stage. During this stage:

The "N" remains on your licence for 2 years
Driving between 12:00 a.m. and 5:00 a.m. is restricted unless an approved exemption applies
You may request a work-related exemption through Access Nova Scotia if required by your employer
You must continue following all Graduated Driver Licensing rules

Restricted Individual (R)

After successfully completing the N Stage, you automatically advance to the Restricted Individual (R) stage. During this stage:

The R Stage remains on your licence for 2 years
The primary remaining restriction is that you cannot supervise another learner driver
You continue gaining driving experience before qualifying for a full licence

Graduated Driver Licensing (GDL) Process

After successfully completing the R Stage, you automatically receive your Full Class 5 Driver's Licence. Benefits include:

No Graduated Driver Licensing restrictions
Full Class 5 driving privileges throughout Canada

Graduated Driver Licensing requirements are established by Access Nova Scotia / Registry of Motor Vehicles and may change over time. Students are encouraged to review the latest provincial requirements or contact our office if they have questions regarding licensing or certificate eligibility.

Course Completion

To successfully complete the online portion of the Driver Education Course, students must:

Complete all 25 hours of required training
Successfully finish all required lessons and quizzes

Receive 16 hours of professional one-on-one driving instruction with one of our certified instructors. With 60% more driving time than our standard Driver Education Course, the Premium Driver Bundle provides additional opportunities to build confidence, improve driving skills, and prepare for a lifetime of safe driving.

Every lesson is personalized to your experience level, allowing your instructor to focus on areas where you need the most practice while helping you become a safe, confident, and independent driver.

Lesson Options

Eight 2-Hour Lessons

Our recommended training plan provides longer driving sessions that maximize learning, reduce travel interruptions, and allow students to practice a wider variety of driving situations during each lesson. Many students complete their in-car training within 2–3 weeks, depending on scheduling availability.

Sixteen 1-Hour Lessons

Students who prefer shorter lessons may choose one-hour sessions. This option offers greater flexibility while allowing additional time between lessons to practice and review.

Personalized Coaching

With an additional 6 hours of in-car instruction, your instructor has more time to provide personalized coaching tailored to your individual progress. This allows for:

Road Test Preparation

Every Premium student receives comprehensive road test preparation designed to maximize confidence before the official examination. Training includes:

Cancellation Policy

Free cancellations or rescheduling with at least 24 hours' notice. Emergency cancellations may be accommodated at the discretion of East Coast Driving Academy. Missed lessons or late cancellations without sufficient notice will be deducted from your remaining lesson hours.

Complimentary Mock Road Test

Before your official road test, every Premium student receives a complimentary mock road test conducted by one of our certified instructors. The mock assessment closely follows the Access Nova Scotia road test format and helps identify any areas that require additional practice.

Refund Policy

Refund requests are processed in accordance with our Sales & Refund Policy.

Before Online Course Access: Students who cancel before accessing the online course are eligible for a full refund.
After Online Course Access: Once the online course has been activated, a $100 administration fee will apply. Course access will be revoked, and the remaining balance will be refunded.
In-Car Lessons: If in-car lessons have been booked, the remaining unused lesson balance may be refunded, subject to a $50 administration fee.
Late Cancellations & No-Shows: Less than 24 hours' notice for an in-car lesson will result in the loss of that scheduled lesson.
Outstanding Balances: Driver Education Certificates will not be issued until all outstanding balances have been paid in full.
